Don Terry enjoyed a 33-year career with Ontario Power Generation serving in a variety of communications roles, including Director of Public Affairs. He has served as a community builder even longer, including terms as President of Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade, Chair of the United Way Annual Campaign, President of Clarington Board of Trade, and Director with Pickering Village BIA.
Redefining the term retired, Don currently serves as Project Manager of the Idea Summit, part-time professor at Durham College, Chair of Sport Durham, Co-Chair of Ajax Community Fund, Chair of EcoBusiness Advisory Committee, and Ambassador for the 2019 Ontario Parasport Games, to name a few of his activities.
Recognition of Don's efforts include a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medallion, Town of Ajax Civic Award, Business Person of the Year Award from Clarington Board of Trade, Community Volunteer of the Year Award from Pickering Rotary, and Ajax-Pickering Big Brother of the Year.
Zehra was born in Pakistan. She travelled all over the world with her parents and finally came to live in Canada in 2002. She has two beautiful children, Kinza and Faris. She currently lives in Oshawa, an hour away from downtown Toronto. Other family members include the cats, Izzy and Sitka and Stella the dog.
Zehra started writing her blog, as a way of sharing with others how her life had changed with a conscious application of positive thinking. She was soon inundated with people emailing her from all over the world asking for help.
As she continued following her passion to uplift and counsel, Zehra started offering one-on-one and group coaching, and holding free webinars and public meditation and discussion sessions. Today Zehra is a well known author, speaker and coach and gives freely of her time in her weekly public meet-ups, her free monthly webinars and her Facebook coaching and support group.
Zehra’s coaching program helps individuals to identify the blockages that are keeping them from achieving success. She helps them to change their self-talk and develop new thinking habits that open up a world of new possibilities.
Zehra’s books are based on a visual, diagrammatic approach thinking positive thoughts. She breaks down complicated concepts into small bite size pieces linked to analogies that make them easy to remember and apply.
Zehra believes that all things are possible, and that you can start from where you are and create a better future once you start understanding how to use basic law of attraction concepts.
Delany is a Youth Job Specialist at the YMCA of Greater Toronto. She has a passion for helping disadvantaged youth in the community and counseling individuals struggling with mental health. Delany completed her BA in Psychology at York University. As a teenager she was a very active member of the Durham Tamil Association as a youth volunteer and at one point part of the youth committee. Delany started her career working with deaf and blind individuals then moved into the corporate IT world for some time. She soon returned to what she loves doing most and that is helping others. Aside from work, Delany loves to shop, volunteer, eat different types of food, and watch movies.
